Promoting the Morality of Priority
I cannot be the only adult who, after a lifetime of embracing the best approaches of our best Presidents in different parties, is utterly confused by how voting for hate is moral.
Simultaneously mutilating and killing a hundred thousand Iraqi civilians is moral? Merely mutilating another thirty-seousand who survived at least one limb or organ blown off, half of them women and children? Fully-charged constitutional amendments against gay marriage? Look, the idea of two men or two women being married strikes most of us as nothing less than ridiculous. Hospital visiting? Payroll and insurance and tenant issues? Of course you're entitled to freedom from harassment or impediment, that's already in the Constitution, and the law should deliver serious financial slambangs against those are petty enough to interfere with another person's private business.
But to spend ten seconds arguing such petty issues compared to feeding, housing, educating and caring for our children first? Securing our still-unprotected food and water supply chains? Putting more than cardboard and plywood in the doors of the Humvees being used by our soliders? All of you, shut up until you grow up! How dare you prioritize your own petty interests instead of using your brains and energy and money to fix our biggest broken disasters-in-the-making? The more time you spend looking out for other people, the more you find people interested in your concerns and needs. Why not prove your superior intelligence with immediate brainstorming and action on resolving the largest challenges first, and then we can sit and break bread and work things out like adults, rather than this current left-right blatherskite?

Embracing Morality || Higher Moral Standards?
When we look for meanings to"Embracing Morality
," it's no less than vital to be clear on what embracing morality actually means. For some people embracing morality may have political ramifications or financial. For other people embracing morality means spiritual or professionally ethical standards in vocation or career. And for still more others, embracing morality means nothing more or less than embracing morality because there is a clear picture that comes to mind when a thinking person says that they are embracing morality. It is a defined vision of mutual, sometimes universal or at least multi-lateral benefit, not only to the initiator who chooses to embrace moral standards of a higher nature, as well to those whom one might wish to embrace such high moral standards.
Embracing Morality - through higher moral standards
The highest moral ground we have, the higher and highest moral standards of all decent people, is not a complicated process, and embracing morality does not require the melodrama of famous heroes and heroines who ended up as martyrs. They didn't die because they decided to embrace morality; that's ridiculous. By choosing a higher moral standard, by embracing morality as they understood it, they assured their own fulfillment only insofar as they have engaged others to feel the same way about such high moral standards, about embracing morality as a daily habit, where the requirements of any given situation, when considered in the light of what happens when we use higher moral standards.
Embracing Morality For Selfish Reasons - The Highest Moral Standards
That's quite correct. Embracing morality for selfish reasons may be one very effective way to encourage other people towards embracing morality by applying higher moral standards in just one of their larger decisions that may involve impact upon others. All that is necessary is for that decision maker to go ahead, apply and employ higher moral standards to that one thing, perhaps ten times on ten different occasions, hopefully clustered close together or at least reasonably so, and then observing the results. Newton's third law of physics is so much fun because it works so relentlessly. Engaging in yourself those higher moral standards, even for one area of interest and effort, repeatedly, is assured of producing results that come back to you affirmatively, in a manner of validation that is pleasing beyond description. Thousands of great examples at your fingertips, none as compelling as your own experience. Using a higher moral set of standards is not merely a value of embracing morality, it's the cynosure and purpose, although there ARE the numerous fringe benefits that come to you. Embracing morality is not that tough.
It starts with asking yourself just what a higher moral standard is and why you should use a higher moral standard in your own life, personally and professionally. The answers to these two questions provide a reason and an action plan that add up to embracing morality even if you didn't actually agree to begin embracing the highest moral standards or even a higher moral standard than the one you're now engaged in on a consistent and repeat basis. That's because when we FIRST begin by applying a higher moral standard, and then repeat it, reaping benefits for self and others, THEN you realize that you are embracing morality, as an action plan versus the mere lip service we're soo tired of being subjected to. After all, the repetitions of higher moral standards, the seemingly monotonous ritual of embracing morality, can tax anyone's patience, so we use higher moral standards in our embracing of morality by ending this peroration or sermon or speech or however you wish to term this engagement on the subjects of higher moral standards and embracing morality in America as well as worldwide.
